Tournament results and army lists from Germany, April 2026

Hello everyone,

after the big update, there’s been quite a bit of movement in the scene. In April, two tournaments were held in Germany again, where some well-known, almost forgotten army concepts reappeared on the tables.

As in the past two months, a quick note for our international readers: in Germany, there are hardly any two-day tournaments. Most events consist of three rounds and are therefore often decided by the tiebreaker SoS. SoS stands for Strength of Schedule and basically describes how successful the opponents were that you faced over the course of the tournament.


Last Argument of Ländle II

The Snake Eye Club put out the call, and the community showed up in force: with 26 players and guests from the Netherlands, Switzerland, and France, the Last Argument of Ländle II was a real highlight.

What made it special: five rounds were played over two days, which gave us a clear winner in the end, no tiebreaker arithmetic needed.

Army Lists Winnenden

  1. 1st Place – The W’adrhŭn Hanna
    In the first game against Yoroni, my activation control paid off massively: in round 2, I had 12 cards in my deck, while my opponent only had a handful available. This huge advantage laid the foundation for the win, as most of the Yoroni army didn’t enter the field until round 4 and couldn’t withstand the pressure by then.

    The second match against Hundred Kingdoms, on the other hand, was a nail-biter. My Slingers were the absolute heroes in this game—not because of their shooting (which was rather disappointing throughout the tournament), but because they destroyed two crucial objective markers. Without that effort, and a Hunting Pack that managed to slip behind enemy lines, I probably would have lost the game.

    Round 3 against Ardent initially looked absurdly dominant, but turned into a complete war of attrition. In the end, only one stand of Braves and two stands of Warbred were left on the field. One or two dice rolls different, and my army would have been completely wiped out. My conclusion: Ardent is a much better option than Dweghom players always claim! The fact that I still scored so many points was simply because those few remaining units bravely held the zones over multiple rounds.

    In round 4 against Fallen Divinity, the winning scenario from the community contest was played. Since my reinforcement line was quite close to the opponent, I kept pushing troops into the Old Dominion non-stop and essentially sacrificed my entire army just to maintain the points lead.

    The final against Bulwark (with an Archimandrite Warlord) followed the tried-and-true plan: score early and then slow the opponent down with units to the point where they could no longer win mathematically. By round 10, I only had a single stand of Hunting Pack, one Predator, and one stand of Slingers left.

1. Wesergeplänkel im Kutami

On the last weekend of April, a Conquest tournament was held in Bremen again for the first time in three years. This time, the event took place in the new, significantly larger venue that Kutami moved into earlier this year. A total of 14 players from the region and the Netherlands gathered for the occasion. Since the down-paired player in round 3 lost, there was a clear winner at the end, no tiebreaker arithmetic required.

Army List Bremen

  1. 1st Place – Dweghom Hanna
    After getting the chance to play against Leo’s Ardent list in Winnenden—and having a great time doing so I borrowed the models from Uziel to bring the concept onto the battlefield myself. In the first two games, I faced two almost identical Xhiliarch lists in the scenarios Forlorn Hope and Bulwark. Both matches were ultimately won thanks to Supremacy and the massive backlash damage from Lethal Demise.

    In the final, I faced Dr. Bär’s Spires in a melee scenario. He was running a Merchant Prince clone list with three regiments of Bound Clones. The same curious phenomenon from Winnenden repeated itself, only this time with me at the helm of the Dweghom: my army once again died off incredibly quickly, but I still managed to keep a handful of stands on the field until round 6. That was enough to secure the win, while my opponent effectively ran out of steam.

    My conclusion: the list feels like it only really plays for four rounds, after that, everything is dead, and you’ve had an absolute blast.

Anyone who wants to see a truly optimized version of this concept should take a look at the lists from the tournament in Wrocław (Breslau), Siege of Broslaw - Conquest Master | ChampionsHub. Leo’s list, after all, was mainly based on the models he happened to have available at the time.



Final Thoughts

April showed, following the big update, that many players are experimenting with new concepts and that the meta still needs time to settle. Winnenden, with its five rounds over two days, was a tough test and proved one thing: in the end, the points on the scoreboard often matter more than the models still standing on the table. Personally, the month was very successful in terms of results, but many of the games were much closer than the final scores might suggest. The overall level in the German scene is clearly rising.

  • 09.05.26: Bannerkrieg um Rodenbach "Part 5" There are currently still 11 spots available for a relaxed round of Conquest. It’s a very laid-back tournament series that hasn’t been particularly successful for our club so far, but has always been a lot of fun, one of the many reasons we’ll be attending again this time.

  • 16.05.26: Der Ruf des Kraken - Vol. 3 (Hamburg) Naturally, the northwest of Germany, Conquest’s own little paradise, will also host another event in May. Registration has just opened, and 10 players have already signed up.

I’ll personally try to attend both events and am really looking forward to meeting many of you there in person.
