Tournament results and army lists from Germany, September 2026

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, the second half of the year has been a little quieter when it comes to the number of tournaments. Once again, there was only one tournament in the north in September. However, the 2nd Wesergeplänkel in Bremen was able to attract a solid field of 18 players.

So while there was noticeably less going on in September than during the first half of the year, there was still an exciting tournament and some interesting army lists to check out. So let’s take a look at what happened on the tables in Bremen.

2. Wesergeplänkel Kutami

05.09.2026 – 18 Player

The second Wesergeplänkel took place at Kutami right at the beginning of September, and with 18 players, the tournament had a solid field. Among the participants was also one of this year’s World Championship players, who wanted to use the tournament as another opportunity to test a list for the Worlds.

In addition to a generous prize pool provided by Para Bellum, there were also 10 small gnomes sponsored by Brave Humans with Sticks. This meant that, in the end, every player was able to take a little miniature home with them.

Three players were attending a Wesergeplänkel for the first time, while the rest were already familiar faces. As a result, the atmosphere was as relaxed as ever, and of course, there was plenty of chatting going on alongside the dice rolling.

Army Lists Bremen

  1. Place – Hanna with Sorcerer Kings

For my army list, I deliberately made a few suboptimal choices. The reason was pretty simple: I just wanted to play all the water-themed stuff. I also wanted to field a few units that rarely get to see the tabletop in my armies and avoid doubling up on any cards.

So there was a bit of friendly restraint involved, which also explains my choice of Warlord. And honestly, it all looked really cool together on the table:

The list definitely has some significant weaknesses, so I didn’t go into the tournament expecting to win all three games. What I did want, though, was to have some fun with Impacts. A unit of MSU Lancers can reach 21 Impact hits thanks to the Raj’s Supremacy if I manage to get them into the flank.

So I was fairly confident that, over the course of the tournament, I would at least get a few opportunities to enjoy that.

In the first game, I was up against Nauthi, one of Chios’ participants from last year, and his Theist list. I was able to win the game quite convincingly, although he did make things a little easier for me by occasionally blocking himself in.

In the second game, I was paired down and faced Nicki’s opponent from the first round. This time, I encountered a beautiful Nords army with a Jarl as its Warlord. While we fought each other across the flanks, with both of us trying to put pressure on the other side, a Shaitan broke through the center and eventually secured the crucial zone I needed to win the game.

In the final, I faced a Spires army with three Abominations, as well as double VCI and VC. The early pressure from the Lights was particularly problematic for the Sorcerer Kings, and doubly so because we were playing Flames of Conquest as the scenario.

But then my big moment finally arrived: the long-awaited flank charge with 21 Impact Hits. I only managed to hit three times, though... okay, Impact Cavalry and Hanna are still not exactly the best of friends. So the rest of the army had to do the work and managed to bring the horse home in the end.

A test version that Nicki had considered for Chios, but later decided against. In Bremen, he won twice against Nords and once against Dweghom Ardent, all fairly comfortably.

  3. Place – Benny Culexuss aka with City States
Benny remained unbeaten with his City States. He used the same list that had already brought him victory in Hamburg just a few weeks earlier. Apparently, there was no reason to change a concept that was already working.
