Welcome to a new series! In this series, I will regularly present the successful lists that remained undefeated at German tournaments.
For our international readers, it may be important to know that there are virtually no two-day tournaments in Germany. Most events consist of three rounds and are therefore often decided using the tiebreaker SoS. SoS stands for Strength of Schedule and basically describes how successful the opponents you faced during the tournament performed.
Der Ruf des Kraken - Vol. 2
The series begins with the first tournament of the year, which took place in the picturesque city of Hamburg. With 20 starting spots and delicious grilled specialties, the first German Conquest tournament of 2026 attracted numerous players to the north. Three rounds were played. The event was one of six qualifying tournaments for the Hanseatic Championship and also counted as a World Event.
With the exception of two Xhiliarchs from the Old Dominion, the current heavyweights—such as the Yoroni Spiders or the Sorcerer Kings’ Chandavats—were not present. Instead, the tournament featured predominantly friendlier lists and a relaxed atmosphere.
Important: the factions listed on T3 are partially incorrect.

In total, three players remained undefeated, with final placements ultimately decided by SoS.

Place – The W’adrhŭn Hanna
I secured first place myself with a Speaker list. My matchups were City States, Spire, and an Old Dominion Xhiliarch. I wrote reports for each game, which you can find here: Game 1: W’adrhŭn vs. City States, Game 2: W’adrhŭn vs. Spire, and Game 3: W’adrhŭn vs. Old Dominion (Xhiliarch).Birds of Prey [2000/2000]

Bannerkrieg um Rodenbach "Part 4"
The second tournament of 2026 took place in central Germany, in Rodenbach. Like the first, it was a one-day World Event, this time with a total of 12 participants.
Again, not all factions are correctly listed on T3.
In the end, two Old Dominion Xhiliarch lists remained undefeated, though with different additions. As in Hamburg, the tournament winner was determined using the SoS tiebreaker.

Lindenstruth Invitational Origins
The third event in February had a clear theme: competitive powerplay was explicitly not the goal, according to the T3 entry. Instead, players were encouraged to try alternative concepts and bring less commonly played units to the table. Since no lists were provided to me for this event, it is harder to analyze.
What is interesting, however, is the final result: three draws led to an extremely close field where no army could clearly stand out. Places 1–4 each had 2 wins and 1 draw, and places 1–3 even had exactly the same SoS of 1.22. Congratulations to Niniel with W’adrhŭn for winning the tournament.

Closing Words
he start of the year already shows clearly that the German Conquest scene remains active in 2026. While Old Dominion with Xhiliarch variants dominated in Hamburg and Rodenbach, Reiskirchen provided a deliberate contrast.
In March, four more events are scheduled, all of which still have available spots:
-
14.03.26 2. Drunken Conquest – Duisburg
-
22.03.26 Conquest Turnier auf der Gedankenwelten Con – Homburg (Einsteiger Event mit 1500 Punkten)
-
28.03.26 Conquest of Asgard 3 – Aschaffenburg
-
28.03.26 Conquest im Sidequest #9 – Bremerhaven
Anyone looking for a Saturday with good conversations and an engaged community will find plenty of opportunities in March.
