Tournament results and army lists from Germany, March 2026.

Hey everyone,

as in the previous month, I’ve once again compiled the undefeated army lists from German Conquest tournaments for March.

As a quick note again for our international readers: in Germany, there are hardly any two-day tournaments. Most events consist of three rounds and are therefore often decided by the tiebreaker SoS. SoS stands for Strength of Schedule and basically describes how successful the opponents were that you faced over the course of the tournament.

2. Drunken Conquest

The March kickoff was hosted by the Drunken Dwarfs with their invitation to the 2nd Drunken Conquest Tournament in Duisburg. 20 players gathered, many of them bringing quite a few experimental lists. T3 results link: 2. Drunken Conquest – Turnier in Duisburg (Germany) | T³

A total of three players remained undefeated; the final standings were determined by SoS. The scenarios played were Declined Flank in round 1, Forlorn Hope in round 2, and Breakout in the final game.

Army lists Duisburg

  1. 1st Place – Sorcerer Kings Hanna
Since the tournament took place shortly after the ITC and I was busy with other things in the weeks that followed, I simply brought my ITC list again. Here is the link to the reports from ITC 2026 in France.

In the first game, I faced the Weaver (Court of Winter). In round two, I went up against SirGrhinos Nords, who brought the same list [link] that had already gone 3–0 the previous month in Hamburg. This mortal-heavy list put me under the most pressure during the tournament due to its fast scoring throughout the game.

In the third game, I finally faced Ice Cobra’s Hundred Kingdoms Theist/Feudal list, which in the end was decided in my favor due to two small positioning mistakes.

  2. 2nd Place – Yoroni Wushu
Wushu from Bielefeld also remained undefeated with a Yoroni list. Both this list and the one in third place once again show that there are multiple viable builds within the faction, not just a single dominant standard variant.

In the first game, Wushu faced Nords, followed by a match in round two against a Wadrhun Predator on Apex. Uziel led the Wadrhun and pushed the Apex relatively unopposed through parts of the Yoroni lines. In this situation, Wushu kept a clear head and sacrificed one of his Brute heroes to secure three zones. Since Yoroni Brute characters count as three stands, this allowed him to win the game.

In the final match, he once again faced Wadrhun this time “only” a Tontorr with Rider. Although it survived and consistently held the central zone in Breakout, the Yoroni controlled the outer zones long enough to ultimately secure the victory.

  3. 3rd Place – Yoroni Nino
As in Hamburg, Nino once again secured third place in Duisburg. His first game was against an Underspire Pheromancer Warlord, followed by a round two match against Nick’s Spires, who still hasn’t quite warmed to the faction’s newer direction.

His final game against Wadrhun turned out to be particularly spectacular, with a single Domaru-Damashi Command Stand becoming an executioner of death:

In round 3, he had to watch as the Warbred snatched his objective right from under him. Together with his two comrades, he held his ground—though only one of them survived. In round 4, his brothers were crushed, but he rallied and struck down the remaining two Warbred. In round 5, he charged and slew the wounded Quatl. In round 6, he cleared the remaining two stands of Braves, who had previously taken down the other Domaru. In round 7, he was move-charged by a second unit of Warbred, but survived the impact hits and, with the help of a few Tengu, cut the beasts down.

Following Nino’s tradition after such a massacre, the model will receive an upgraded base, an image of the WIP miniature can be found below the army list.

Conquest im Sidequest #9 - Undying Loyalty

At the last weekend of March, the ninth Sidequest tournament took place. Despite the short notice, 16 brave players gathered. Notably, there was a high proportion of Wadrhun (about one-third of the field), which actually goes against the current meta—but in Bremerhaven, many players took the opportunity to try out something different.

A total of two players remained undefeated; the final standings were determined by SoS. The scenarios played were Bulwark in round 1, Foresight in round 2, and Melee in the final game.

Army Lists Bremerhaven

  1. 1st Place – Dweghom Hanna
After many games with the Sorcerer Kings, I wanted a change and switched to the Dweghom. I based my list on Uziel’s ITC list. After victories against Spires (Merchant Prince) and Wadrhun, I faced the Chios player Hickmix (Xhiliarch + Theokrator) in the final on Melee, which I was able to win.

  2. 2nd Place – Yoroni Nino
Nino brought his Yoroni again to Bremerhaven, once more opting for his massive, solid blocks instead of the spider list. His path to the podium, however, was anything but easy:

In the first game, he narrowly battled through a Spires Merchant Prince Clones list. Round two pitted him against SirGhrinos Nords (who eventually took third place), before the final turned into an ultimate thriller against the City States with Polemarch-Warlord. Nino almost fell victim to his own maneuver here, accidentally sending his valuable Kitsune block head-on into a regiment of Phalangites. The fact that he was still able to turn the game around speaks to both Nino’s skill and the strength of the Yoroni, even without spider spam and probably a few very lucky dice rolls at just the right moment.

Note from Nino: That was absolutely no accident! It was a deliberate decision. I’m pretty sure I even justified my strategic masterstroke to the Culexus beforehand with, “After all, we’re here to charge!” Was it a dumb idea? Sure, but it was a planned, dumb idea!

Conquest of Asgard 3

At the same time as the northern tournament, the Conquest of Asgard 3 took place in the deep south during the last weekend of March. While Bremerhaven saw many players using factions unusual for them, the field in Aschaffenburg was smaller, with ten players, but the lists were much more brutal, among them several Yoroni lists with a heavy spider focus.

Army List Aschaffenburg

  1. 1st Place – Spire Bankster
As the only undefeated player in the tournament, Robert “Discord-Bankster” confidently claimed the throne. With his Underspires list, he impressively demonstrated that synergy and precise positioning are the most effective counter to the current Yoroni meta: the eight-legged dominance was coldly dissected by the biological horrors of the Spire laboratories that day.

His winning streak began with a victory against the City States (Polemarch) in the Breakout mission, followed by a tough clash against W’adrhŭn (Chieftain) in Head to Head. In the grand final, he faced the feared list of three Dai Yokais and two Spiders. Despite the three Sweeping Step Yokais, the Yoroni maneuvered themselves into a dead end. Robert ruthlessly exploited the cramped positioning, completely cornered his opponent, and secured a well-deserved tournament victory.

4. Schaben Conquest

One event I still need to mention, which I unfortunately overlooked last month, is the Schwaben Conquest in Wolfschlugen. Even though Maphi was only able to gather a small group of players there, one thing is extremely important to me: every event you organize matters!

Whether there are 6, 10, or 12 players, these tournaments are the engine of the local community. Activity sparks interest among new players, so get out there, play, be friendly, and share your photos. Every posted miniature and game report can be the spark that inspires someone else to start playing Conquest.

Army List Wolfschlungen

  1. 1st Place – Yoroni Chameleongnom
Tobi (Chameleongnom) claimed victory in a very competitive field. In round 1, he defeated the City States (Divide and Conquer), followed by a win against Jerrek’s Hundred Kingdoms (Grind Them Down) in round 2, and in the final, he faced DasEi, who brought his Spires. Looking at the lists on Longshanks, it’s clear how high the level of play was: Redfreak, Jerrek, and DasEi apparently used the event to thoroughly test their ITC lists. That Tobi was able to prevail with his Yoroni here highlights, once again, the current strength of the faction.

Closing Words

March has shown impressively that the German Conquest scene is more vibrant than ever. Whether it’s the tactical “chess” of Aschaffenburg, the cozy gathering in Bremerhaven, or the ITC list testing in Wolfschlugen, the community is growing, and the level of play is clearly rising. It will be especially exciting to see how the meta evolves after the announced update and which factions will dominate in April.

For anyone now eager to roll the dice themselves: April is just around the corner and brings two absolute highlights:

  • 18.04. – 19.04.26: Last Argument of Ländle II (Winnenden) A true highlight in the south! We’re looking forward to a two-day tournament, with even our friends from France attending. Currently, there’s just one spot left, so sign up quickly before the event is completely full!

  • 25.04.26: 1. Wesergeplänkel im Kutami (Bremen) Things will heat up again in the northwest. The Bremer invite you to the Kutami. There are currently 7 spots available, a great chance to further strengthen the local northern scene.

I’ll try to attend both events myself and am really looking forward to meeting many of you in person.

Cheers

Hanna
