Tournament Battlereport 1. Eroberung der Scheune: Game 3 Hundred Kingdoms vs Spire

Overview
Game 1
Game 2
Game 3

Game 3, Head to Head against Hickmix with Spire. It's unpleasant because we've played it quite often and he knew exactly what he had to do to win. Luckily, we both just ignored math and didn't incorporate minor things like Hardend or Resolve 4 into our plans

Almost the same trash as Christian's and Nick was able to play it down without mercy.

Round 1 includes all of Nick's regiments and mine of all but one Crossbows. He stays outside 23 and so we both just line up on the right side.

Round 2 for him is everything except the Vanguard Clones and for me everything. His Brute Drones appeared far to the right just behind the Stryx and the Avatara came in the middle to protect his small zone. Accordingly, I placed the Household Knights opposite and stole the middle for a few points with the last activation.

Round 3 came the rest of Nicks Army and for me a unit of Ashen Dawn. Nick rejoiced at this and I knew I had to go back now or the game was lost. First I save the Noble Lord from the zone with Seek new Escort and then Nick shot the regiment from where the Lord had escaped or left it with one life. Afterwards nothing happened for a long time and I tried to hurt the VCI with 7 Stands Crossbows and repeatedly failed with the Evasion 2. Nick marched completely to the left and I had to place the Ashen Dawn there to possibly slow down the two Incarnates regiments. Then the first Stryx went into me and Nick pushed the Brute Drones into the zone to equalize.

Round 4 only gave me the mandatory selection and my heart sank. Nick shot me down a regiment of Crossbows and actually just wanted to wait until I was deactivated, but I killed and shot the Stryx that had been harassing my Noble Lord and got the second Ashen Dawn on the right flank early on. Then the Stryx wouldn't have to activate and sent them into the water and later gave them Dread. Protected like this, they blocked my Household Knights and allowed me to charge clash if I felt like rolling a lot of ones. At this point I make a clear statement with a total of three ones for the impacts and five for the subsequent attacks. The Stryx all managed to roll a two on Resolve, but that doesn't help with Resolve 1. The regiment died and Nick suddenly had knights in the middle that he had to take care of. So both avatars bluntly marched forward and my Ashen Dawn did a move charge to bind them and stop the rest behind them. These would be way down next round. Nick had the zone again and he postponed my defeat for another round.

Round 5 finally came the Crimson Towers. They marched up on the right, I had more cards and with the sacrifice of the middle Household Knights and a regiment of Crossbows I saved myself through the round because my Ashen Dawn were at the bottom and forced Nick's side to move troops to the side. It went accordingly positively although he scored again, but the second Household Knights closed the line and next round the riders would exact bloody revenge.

Round 6 we both use our Supremacy, I started and Crimson Tower kill almost all of the Brute Drones in the move charge. A little displeased that the regiment didn't burst, Nick explains to me that they have a native resolve of 4 and not 3. I somehow had a different idea and made the plan rather mediocre. The Knights were almost completely shot by the VCI and suddenly there were Incarnates with Highborn and on the other side the Ashen Dawn held against the Avatara. Then I was back, the second Crimson Towers wiped out the Brute Drones and the Ashen Dawn killed the Avatara on the left and went back while the others advanced towards the zone. Nick cursed and offered his soul to various gods if they would support him now and did the charge clash against the left wing Ashen Dawn. Thanks to Burnout, attacks also came together well, but Hardend and Blessed were solid protection. Nick held the zone again.

Round 7, Nick's Incarnates on the left killed 1.5 Ashen Dawn and I went with the one Crimson Tower with Move Charge into the flank of the second Incarnates. Nothing much happened and then the VCI simply shot the Crimson Tower and I sacrificed the second one by moving the Commnder into the Ashen Dawn behind it. Still Incarnates had retreated and were almost base to base with the VCI, so the Crossbows joined in an inch in front and the Ashen Dawn were offset so that I would definitely get the charge. My Household Knights continued to fight with the Avatars and at some point the Rangers arrived and gave supporting fire to shorten the spectacle. My left Ashen Dawn killed two Incarnates, I had the zone and next round it was going to rain blood.

Round 8 Nick wanted to finally kill the last Ashen Dawn on the left flank and he stands ith one life. Then my brave Ashen Dawn killed the Incarnate and with more cards I could wait until the VCI were finished, kill his second Unit Incarnates and kill the Avatara in the middle with HHK. Then the rangers marched with double move towards Nick's small zone and of course Nick didn't manage to kill my 3 fresh Ashen Dawn with Commnder with VCI on turn 9 and was almost completely remvoed from the board plus I get both zones on turn 10 would. the game ended with 47:21

This made me one of a total of two players who had three wins, as Uziel was matched up and won the Nords vs Nords matchup. Thanks to a better SOS, thanks here to Christian and Lars, I and the brave people won and the Old Dominion was pushed into second place.

At the end there was a photo of everyone with the trophy:
